Sad News

It's been a sad and angry day for all hong kongers. We've been watching TV live from 7:20pm last night since the philipino SWAT started their so-called rescue action until 8:30pm and they still couldn't open the damn door!!!! In fact I felt so speechless and funny and angry and sad when I saw the whole process, because the hostages could've been saved if the SWAT acted faster and smarter and more professional!!! unfortunately, they didn't... I really think our 8 ppl were actually killed by them, not by the gunman. This tragedy showed how much training they had and corrupted these less developed countries are. No training, no equiptments, no nothing. Deeply sad.... what a tregedy, they really could go home alive. :'(

Thx for my boss, got free tickets to watch movie again~ otherwise i dun think we'll have a chance to watch this cute lovely toy story 3 ! Well it's actually not my type of movie, becuz i prefer action/drama type of movie, but i actually liked the msg it trys to convey! When we grow up, there're so many things we used to love a lot are not longer in our list. It's such an upset feeling.

Brazil VS Netherlands

went to watch Brazil VS Netherlands quarterfinals @TST w/ Alfred & friends yesterday night... everywhere was full and we were so fortunate to book the last table at a pub there~ and it was my first real football game for the world cup and it was good~ even though I wished Brazil to win but I enjoyed the game cuz it was a very tight game~ thx for not letting me sit there for whole night for nothing~ yeah!

端午節放假去睇樓

去左深水埗/大角嘴/南昌睇樓 （因爲我都唔知exactly邊區）-- 港灣豪庭，四百零五百尺，兩房中層，遠望深水埗市景/公園景。交通可以話方便亦可以話唔方便，因爲可以行去南昌站，奧運站，或荔枝角地鐵站，不過全部要行10分鐘以上，係香港人既角度已經係"un-walkable"。大概7-8年樓齡，$250萬起。

comments: 屋苑範圍環境幾好，不過出左屋苑範圍就唔掂，因爲近深水埗街市呀，舊區個d，有D雜。間隔幾好，兩間房感覺幾大，不過個廳就比例細，因爲放左sofa電視之後會連餐檯都放唔落。房間窗大，景觀開揚，但客廳個窗就細過房。

算啦，because it's over-budgeted :)

睇樓 + 睇相

去左荃灣睇樓 -- 樂悠居，4-5年樓齡，大約行10分鐘去荃灣西西鐡站。四百尺，一房，底層，間隔都算四正。2百萬頭，望工廠大廈。高層俾多10零萬有山/海景（不過望到墳）。

comment：好細，廁所好細，廚房比例上過大。可以既都prefer兩房。底層景觀好麻麻。不過樓底有10尺高。真係覺得荃灣西d新樓有d over-priced lor.....

之後去左TST meet up Jason幫手揀婚紗相~ 原來我既挑剔性格都有D用，哈哈~ 不過我地都由3點揀到8點~ 大家到最後都揀到有d求其~哈哈，well... 我估5個鐘頭都算快ga la......

Beijing 5D4N tour (May 9-13, 2010)

I wanted to go Beijing for a long long time... u know I love chinese history & i admire it~ Didn't like Shanghai so much becuz it's just like HK, very metropolitan feel, I would definitely love more traditional cities. So finally get a chance to go this time when my parents come back to visit; Us three plus my googoo & family, total of 6 ppl joined a cheap cheap 5 days tour to beijing. China tours are cheap, compare to 4D3N - $3000 tokyo package, it's only $1399 + tax + travel guide fee, and we enjoyed a 5 days hotel + flight + all meals inclusive Beijing tour! However, since our tour only has 14 ppl, we didn't get to have a 領隊, we only have a 導遊 in BJ~ but it's okay, we didn't mind at all, cuz it saved us some guide fee~

so b4 i go to BJ i was worried about the weather, i worried it would be too windy too cold too hot or will be raining or dusty.... But it ended up with perfect weather for all 5 days!!! Nice sunny days with dry & cool temperature, just like the summer in Van, that definitely be the most important requirement of having a nice trip. My goo goo told me it was 39C when they also went to Beijing in May last yr. It was killing them becuz almost all attractions are outdoor. Another glad thing was there weren't many ppl in each of the attraction, i mean I hate seeing "ppl moutain ppl sea" everywhere and you definitely cannot win them to fight for a better position. I guess most of the ppl went to Shanghai for Expo instead~ But one bad thing is this tour requires a lot of walking, and can't really stay for long in each attraction. Beijing is too big with too many attractions, and every piece of it has a meaning/history behind. 5 days really weren't enough. I only got to spend 2.5 hrs to hike in the great wall in such a perfect weather! That not even enough to finish 1/5000 of it. :( and I love the gu gong (palace) as well... i know it wouldn't be a good living place but i did try to imagine how it would be if I live there~ :)

Annual Dinner 2010

半自願半委託成爲左Annual Dinner既committee members, it was pretty fun actually, learnt a lot of how to organize an event. I was actually responsible for making a prize list for lucky draw, that was more difficult than i thought becuz i have to choose items from different budgets, and u gotta think of something useful & popular, otherwise ppl will just think the prize is totally useless and throw them away... We also invited 胡陪蔚+金剛 to be our hosts, & Justin Lo to be our guest of the night, i didn't know it was so expensive to invite someone "whom is just a bit more famous than ordinary ppl" to perform in outside events. Justin only sang 3 songs zi ma... and he charged $1xx,xxx la!! no wonder those TVB stars always go 登台 la~

Hotspring in ZhuHai + a day trip in Macau for the Easter Long Weekend

Hotspring was better than expected, at least it's pretty clean & there are so many different kinds of flavours. Macau was really "ppl mountain ppl sea".... didn't like it at all.... v_v

two amazing things happened in last 15 mins and i gotta write this down:

1. I guess the job market is recovering again, i regularly receive calls from agents recently & asked if i need a job or sth... well just received a call 10 mins ago in regards to my job application to Cathay Pacific as a flight attendance, which I submitted it in 2008. She asked if I'm STILL interested in it and I laughed and said......."I GUESS NOT"....

2. Ben just called me and said he bumped into CHOW YUN FAT right after he stepped out of the cha chan teng for lunch. haha so funny he said "fat gor" to him (like a friend saying Hi), then helped a chinese free-walker to take a pic with him..... and I said... why didn't you take one yourself?????

Sammi for Xmas

Went to watched Sammi's concert on Xmas day and I think it would be the best way to spend my xmas this year (cuz no party or whatsoever...v_v). Actually it was really hard to get the tix, i asked my colleague's sister to lend me her credit card in order i can buy the tickets during pre-sale, you know concerts always have special commercial sponsor...... so i kept calling the pre-sale phone line for two days and finally got my $280 + $20 handling fee tickets, weee~
so we arrived about 15 minutes before the show time (8:15pm) becuz we don't like being late, but as an unofficial rule in HK, concerts don't start at least 30mins after the set time... hate it!!! well but i decided to forgive Sammi this time becuz the atmosphere is just so good, everyone gets a pair of pinky bang bang and it was a full-house! and Sammi was actually my favourite pop star when i was in elementary, so i felt so exciting when i hear all the "classic" songs from her~ and I can tell that they spent a lot of money for designing the performance stage. but well one thing i don't like is she's just exercised too much, she's SO SKINNY but she is SO MUSCULAR as well, like she's totally look like a man from the back (and the front if chop her head), well i dun think it looks kinda beautiful...-_- maybe it's for strengthen her lung or sth.. but i think it's way too much lor.... and the guests of the night were Ekin & ah God God Man Fei... he's just so funny !! but if Andy Lau OR big four were there would be nice as well :P

BBQ on Xmas Eve

this baby took an hour to cook... haha, just for fun at the first place, but it ended up tasted good...

BBQ at home on Xmas Eve with Joyce & her bf~~~ since all of us don't want to go out and crowd with other ppl, so we decided to BBQ at home. Off work early at 4pm and rush to market to buy stuff and prepare.... it was so difficult to buy food since Joyce is vegetarian and not many seafood are BBQ-able...

Movie + 做冬

I have broken my record that I've actually gone to the theatre to watch movies THREE TIMES this year!!! yeahhhhh.... First the cartoon (already forgot the name) with Step, then 2010, and last Avatar. I actually would not get any chance to watch movie IF step didn't ask me to, or I didn't get free tickets for the last two. Yes i'm saying Ben doesn't like watching movie at all.... haha. anyways... Avatar was awesome, loved it !!! Maybe 2010 was too suck so Avatar gave me a big surprise. After dinner went to "do winter" - hotpot @ TST with family and wondering around for xmas lights. well.... Xmas lights are beautiful, but just too many ppl....

Xmas gathering

so happy to see Stella, Chris and Arthur again this Xmas season! I always say i spent my happiest working life in Primerica in my life. anyways... I was having a quite difficult time to make reservation for the dining place this year, seems like the economy is really so good that everywhere is full booking even i book a week earlier and it's only a weekday i want to make. Wanted to go buffet, but i called like 4-5 hotels and they're all full. Wanted to try 'c fong choi', W hotel... all Full ! finally Saimon found this place... Pomme de terre, a French restaurant in WanChai. Jason and his future wife joined too~ (((and he paid the bill too, so "ho"! hahaha))) Very nice dinner and great chat we had. After the dinner went to TST with Saimon and like every free-walker, we went to see those Xmas lightings and took many pics there. Saimon's camera just looked too newbie compare to all those "pro" in front of penisula...Since it was getting late and me and Ben gotta work the next day, we decided to stay at his hotel & 開房with saimon.....

german beer fest @ macro polo

thanks for my boss's appointment, I helped organizing the german beer festival this year. And since I organized this event, I've known much more people in the office in a much faster way... you know, it's a little bit hard to know everyone in the office in a short period of time, and i did it v_v... dunno if this is a good thing or bad thing...becuz of the political issue u know.... anyways, i had so much fun on the night :)

kaka's wedding

attended my elementary friend's wedding today. She was one of my two best buddies when I was in HK and we had lots of good memories together. I was so happy to seeing her having a good & caring husband because her husband never stop smiling since the beginning of the day :) had a very warm ceremony at church in the afternoon then dinner at night. but i have one thing to complain is...... the "dinner" always starts so late in HK!!! ppl play mahjong until 8ish & then photo times again & opening speech.... we didn't have our first dish until 9ish... and the waiters started to get so rush afterwards because they gotta be finished at around 11pm otherwise guests would leave for sure! it was a sunday and i was like... please hurry uppppppp & let me freaking eat@!!! well i stayed 'til the last moment, but i took "20% off taxi" home lor....

Stupid day

So frustrated !!!!!!!! I dropped my Gucci coinbag (yes, the gift from terence) and my Credit card that i put inside (most importantly, it is with the Octopus feature & Monthly pass for West Rail line) !!!!! I'm pretty sure I dropped it on the street in front of my house when I looked for my key in my bag!!!! so stupiddddd..............when i realized it and looked for it, it's already GONE!!!! >__<

another stupid thing i did today was... when I took the MTR to work today, I thought it would be smart to go back one station (the end station of the opposite direction) so that I would be able to get a guaranteed seat. However, after one station I had my seat (i.e. back to my original station), I made a choice to offer the seat to a por por !!!! -___- i felt so stupid b/c it wasted my time to go back one station and i got no seat at the end !!

why am i so stupid today........... i'm frustrated about myself !!

好想返加拿大大大.......

it's only been 1 yr in HK and i'm already feeling it's like 10 yrs already....... in fact I'm so used to the lifestyle in HK, but dunno why I just dun like it. I miss my parents and friends in Van, I miss my freedom and home in Van, I miss driving and the food in Van, I miss my feeling of happiness and worried-less in Van. But I know... even i return now, many things have been changed. I guess i can no longer hang out w/ my beloved friends like few yrs ago.... some of them already have families to take care of, and some of them are so busy with their work. So i know.... even I feel so lonely in HK, what can i do......

番禺長隆2D1N Trip

今年生日因爲有人要去澳門飲既關係，所以提前個weekend帶我去旅行賠罪。其實我一開始都無咩感覺，但之後越想越興，所以就順勢發脾氣兼閙左某人一餐，哈哈，死未。

OK back to the trip in Poon Yu, our main attractions were to go to the Zoo and watch the circus. well the Zoo was so-so since the weather was so hot and it was really frustrating to walk under the heat. So i don't recommend ppl to go during late spring/summer/early autumn. lol.... But the circus was really not bad lor, way over my expectation. Totally different than the ones in Vegas. Although it was so hot and they dun get A/C, i still enjoyed the show very much~ also Shangri-La really gave me a really good time, they even used an Audi A6 to pick us up after the show, how VIP we are, haha.

HSBC & Abn Amro

After working in HSBC for 2 weeks 9 days, i switched to Abn Amro. I have a little bit of hesitation before switching because i am like taking a risk to give up a current job and afraid to lose both jobs at the end. As my mom said, HSBC will (and mostlikely only will) provide a very stable job. So i was hesitated.... but since the HSBC job was really dull and non-challenging, and as Ben said, "why would you even have to think about NOT SWITCHING?" i made up my mind.

Now I've been working at the new com for more than 2 weeks, I think i've made a really good decision. Actually when i look back, i really think my hesitation was really stupid. The job nature is better, the company is better, the salary is better, why would i not chose to switch? Even the HR from HSBC congratulated me for the switching. I think becuz sometimes ppl are only willing to stay in comfort zone and afraid of leaving it, but when you are willing to take the step, you'll see a totally diff world.

anyways... it's going to be my 1st anniversary in HK very soon, can't believe it! Unfortunately I dun think i've accomplished anything in HK yet. But what accomplishment am i looking for? i don't know, i'm still searching.... and I wanna set another goal for my on my bday this year. Most probably it'll be a financial goal, and a personal self-development goal. There're 1.5 weeks more until my bday, i'll think about it before that.
